Linger on Me
is a sound piece composed live without interruption, as if I wanted to be one with the slowness of the music. The sound frequencies generated on a modular synthesiser in the piece are close to the organ, and thus aim to evoke a sense of recollection, grief, or silence that we might encounter in a church. Hidden in Christie Swallow’s bird shelters, the art piece presents itself as secretive, solely unfolding its sounds for the birds and quiet listeners.
