a one to one performative sensory treatment experienceperformed by E Xuan.
An ancient Chinese immortal has fallen from heaven, slipping into the window of outhouse gallery. Then, the gallery transformed into a secret sensory space. Audiences had the opportunity of entering a secret sensory sphere, enjoying a one to one massage experience full of wonder, tranquility and sereneness.
The immortal, a wandering doctor (游医 Youyi), had always been more than a spiritual mentor to E. Guided by her teachings and shaped by E's own journey through life in London, E has developed a unique and peculiar set of massage tools and techniques. These reimagined everyday objects are gentle bridges between bodies and souls, symbolic of E's identity and the wandering healer's spirit, some kindness, healing, some courage, love, and mystery.
This is a healing experience, a playful interaction, an intimate communication without words.
